I used to own a 1970 VW Beetle CYA 100J White with Blue sides, sadly and with freat regret i had to sell her due to been made redundant etc :-( I would so love to see her again and possible buy her back (if she were for sale) My husband spent so much time on her bringing her back to life .... she was beautiful and we has so much fun driving her about and I MISS HER TERRIBLY !!!!

It's worth a go - they'll provide the info to clampers!

Otherwise there are some huge VW forums you could try -

http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/

Is one of the biggest, and probably a decent place to start. Best of luck!

Seems you've been looking for a while. I wanted to find an old Rover 620ti R48 GFL but it seems it was scrapped many years ago as it hasn't been taxed since 2008.

awww what a sweet thread!

My parents owned a 1972 beetle. It was diamond silver. My dad unfortunately knew very little about cars and when it misfired he sold it for next to nothing and got a nasty VW Polo instead.

Many years later (when I still lived in the UK) the guy he sold it to offered it back to me. This car was immaculate and had only covered 37,000 miles. When I saw it, I was shocked, the car was rusty all over, holes in the body and smashed glass. It was comical that he was expecting money for it. I couldn't believe he'd allowed it to get to this condition. This guy was a bit of a loser, couldnt hold down a job, lived off his wife and had a drinking problem.

So much for that car...
