Doh - Just broke the cigar lighter :(

Hi all,

I thought I'd try and connect my trickle charger to the cigarette lighter.

I bought a cigarette lighter connector and fabricated some cable and fasteners to connect the charger to. Wehn all was connected up the charger showed a 50% charge. I sitched on at the wall and it triped out.

Now the lighter doesn't work

I can see anything obvious in the fuse box section of my manual for the lighter though

Anyone know where it is ? Or have I broke it permanently ?

Me again.

All fixed now. I checked voltage across the lighter and its 12 volts still so hopefully no harm done

I'll ring around places for an accumate and adapter tommorrow as this seems the best bet.

It getting expensive this TVR lark (£500 alarm, service and new charger in under 1 week)

I leave my car on charge through the lighter socket from a Halfords automatic charger - about £20, I think. Works fine.
