Just wondered if anyone who's recently insured a second car has come across any companies that are offering cheaper policies for drivers with seconds cars, deals like introductory no claims bonus, mirroring or partial mirroring of current NCB, etc?

I've tried Multi-Car before you all go suggesting that, and although its good value for money its only really cheaper if you have three cars.

All help is much appreciated.

I was sceptical of admirals multicar but not only did they save me £500 on my main car they added my Boxster S for £250. I only have two cars on the policy because they weren't able to add my others being classics.

I insure the daily drivers through one of the majors. They are not on a linked policy, but wife and I both use direct line and both get a discount.

The Caterham is insured with competition car insurnace. They take into account a lot of your history and come up with a premium.

Not sure if this is what you mean though?

Almost any insurer I've spoken with will offer a discount for multiple cars.

The admiral's prices have not been especially competitive IME.

Really? Is that a new thing on their multi-car policys? Cos when I asked they said you only get the no claims on one vehicle.

Will AVIVA only mirror if you have your primary policy with them? My TVR is with Quote-me-Happy which I believe is part of AVIVA.

Just abit of info, Admiral now offers classic car policies on multicar and single car.
Agreed value is available, ncb can be built on policies too.
If your vehicle isn't on the list just request for it to be added, it does have to be over 20 years old.

They said after last July they were adding classics to the multicar but when I tried them they couldn't add my 3 but tried a classic policy which came out about 3x my existing policy on each.

I had my RS4 insured with Admiral, rang them to get a quote for a 307 HDI as a daily, and when she asked if I had any NCB I said well, Ive got full on my RS4, but it seems daft it is linked to the car and not the person.
She put me on hold to speak to her supervisor, then came back and said I could 8 years against it!

I only used it for a year, so now that policy has ended.
Ive got my RS4 installed still with full NCB, and a proof of NCB for a seperate 9 years for a 2nd car if I choose to do it again!
Totally daft
