Anyone managed to use look cleats on mtb shoes?
Discussion
I've managed to find a nice road bike 2nd hand and I'd like to try the look pedals that came with it, and a spare pare of cleats, to see if I like them, compared to the spd and crank bros pedals I've used in the past.
I've got two pairs of cycling shoes intended for 2 hole fitment cleats, and I don't want to shell out for road shoes and find out I hate them, but equally I don't want to buy more crank or spd pedals to replace the looks without trying them.
Besides the Heath-Robinson, has anyone done this before? Or even, is such a solution available comercially?

I may be forced to whittle something out of ply as a prototype.
Hmm. Do you know any larger-footed lady cyclists?

Rather you asking than me, of course!
