Doors, Boot and Windows wont open???

Hi All,

Battery flat today, so I put it on charge and also re synched my alarm fob at the same time - all ok car starts and alarm fobs both work.

However, the door switches either side and boot + windows will not work - only way in is the secret way.

Any ideas as to why the the doors will not work? very frustrated as I need the car for work tomorrow.

check the relevant boxes in the boot sir.disconnect and then reconnect,check plugs to the boxes.i would also have a look at your fuses

dont think its a fuse cos there are 3 differant ones,one for each function.

I've checked all of the fuses, all ok - I've taken the relays out and back in.......still nothing

Just took it for a drive, thinking that might be a magic fix - nope!

Looks like it'll be a call to the garage in the morning.

if you look in the boot ontop of the fuel tank there are a number of boxes.one of these controls these functions.just unplug the box that controls these functions...check contacts and plug back in.if you have time open the box and make sure it has not burnt out.there are some cheap units on ebay at the mo;)

Spongy you are a star! unplugged the control box and and connected it back up again - and all working perfectly, many thanks for your help.

Nice one.

For sake of completeness & for when someone is doing a search in a couple of months time, another potential cause is for one of the doors to be not properly shut.
