In GT purely Porsche there's new company advertising - Tranchet Trading, so I contacted them for details:

“The exhaust is a direct replacement for the original exhaust system. In the price is also a pair of oval trims polished and chrome plated.
The exhaust increases the power by about 24hp. The throttle response is much better. The sound is also ca. 10% louder, but not too loud.
The exhaust system is also ca. 7kg lighter then the original one. The exhaust is protected with heat shields and complete build in Stainless steel T-304.
The tube diam is 70mm, the exhaust is usable up to ca. 730hp. The catalysts are very large in 130mm from HJS and OBD-2 compliant.

After a fix order is the delivery time is ca. 2-3weeks, (as we are sold out right now).
This exhaust cost UK£ 2400.- excl Vat, delivered free.“

I have some pictures that I can email anyone who's interest - quality looks good, one of the best I've seen so far. - I just checked the milltek website, this is the same as their new one.

Another one is from:
<a href="http://www.design911.co.uk/index.htm?Region=UK">www.design911.co.uk/index.htm?Region=UK</a>
“MAXFLOW 996TT / X50/ GT2 exhaust system with two 100 cell German Motorsports Race Cats, MAXFLOW Exhaust has much lower backpressure and more guaranteed power proven & tested. T304SS Polished Mirrors. 35 HP Gain Tested on the Dyno In Germany on a stock 996TT - GT2. Re-uses your stock tips - For July @ £1795 +VAT & Del”

“Every factory Porsche 996 TT /X50/ GT2 uses 4inch X 200 cell/inch catalytic converters. There are 2 catalytic converters on each side. Maxflow 996TT /X50/GT2 exhaust uses two 100cell German racecats imported by Maxflow Motorsport.
Maxflow 996TT Exhaust has much lower backpressure and adds 35HP. Guaranteed power that has been fully proven & tested worldwide.
100 cell cats are like chicken wire versus 200 cell cats that have small holes like screens in your house. Turbos don't like or need backpressure. Backpressure is an enemy for turbocharged engines. In comparison naturally aspirated engines need some backpressure. “ - this is the same as www.fabspeed.com who also do a 996 Twin Turbo GT2 SUPER SPORT Version - 65+ HP Gain Dyno tested on a modified 996TT with GT2 Turbos by S Car Go Racing in San Rafael. Measured exhaust backpressure over 50% less that RUF or factory Porsche exhaust. +55HP on a stock 996 GT2 with just an exhaust swap.

Anyone tried either of these?

I did it, got my 996TT fitted with a Fabspeed exhaust from design911.co.uk - extra 35bhp they claim -and it feels like it, this was the deciding factor over the other makes.

As with other sports exhaust on the 996 TT, it's a bit boomy @2.5k rpm, but boy it sounds meaningful!

Good service from design911, Karl's the man; he has a true interest in all things Porsche and takes the time to listen. They use a local garage for fitting, which, well I wasn't too impressed with, one tail pipe protrudes 1cm from the back, the other 2cm! - I'll adjust that myself then!
