hazard lights

Hello i am a newbie have had my cerb for 4 months now i am having trouble with my hazard lights working on there own was wondering if there is anything obvious to look at in the stalk any ideas thanks

From memory, I think there are a pair of very fine wires come out of the stalk near the bottom under the little gaiter. I'd say they're excellent candidates for breaking...

Yes they are prone to breaking.

Carefully pull out the switch from the stalk and you will see two very fine wires. They connect to a PCB, which I think is just accessible by dropping the lower steering cowling (2 wing nuts).

Mine had shorted to ground at some point and then disintegrated.

Easy fix, just be patient...
