Discussion
Been looking at the pictures posted on here for a while now. My knowledge and understanding of photography is to say the least, basic.
Having recently bought a Canon S1 IS I now have a camera that does a little more than work in a fully automatic mode. All I need to do now is work out how to use it.
I go to Kenya in November and really want to be able to use the camera properly when I get there.
I have posted (If it works) some pics I took recently at Goodwood. I haven't altered them at all. Any advice most welcome.

mmm......
Must learn how to post pics!
It seems the web host I am using won't allow hotlinks to pictures. B****r!
This might work, but ignore the first pic and apologies for the popups (something to do with it being a free site ?????)

Aha, yes. Watch that site though as it tried to install something called 'Gain'.
I like the RR shot and also the gesticulating bloke - human interest etc (needs a bit more light though). Was it too far away for flash?
Try www.pbase.com for hosting. Haven't used them myself but it looks good.

I use them, no pop-ups or spyware, however you can only do direct links if you pay for a subscription, about £8.00 for 100mb of storage. Worth it IMHO.

Will look at my hosting before posting any more pics etc. It does tend to bother me as the firewall stops the popups, but I know it will affect others.
Re: the person gesticulating. He is Giacomo Agostini. I had the camera on sport mode as I took a number of shots of him in succession. Camera was on auto and flash didn't pop up.
I did say I knew nothing!
