Does anyone know if any finance companies will finance a cat d, or previously recorded car?
thanks

If you get a personal loan for the car, they wont give two hoots as the money could be for anything!

Or are there other options you are looking at for finance?

In all honesty, that sounds erm... almost desperate.

What is it and what's the deal?

Why would you want to?

I know many of the major funders do a HPI as part of their payouts process.

If it's not clear they won't be financing the car.

Personal loan would work as suggested.

Why desperate?

There are many sound and fully repaired cat D cars out there, as long as you do your homework.

If the OP has found a good deal and wants to finance it, then good on you.

Not really, in my experience they are in the minority. The majority you wouldn't want to touch.

I work for a car finance company - we HPI every car and won't finance a Cat D car (which is a shame in some cases). This may be because we're non prime, but I believe prime funders are the same. Personal loan the best bet...
