The BHI are having an open day on Sunday 25 March from 10am to 4pm. Anyone fancy a trip out there? We've been wanting to go for years and there are several horolophiles on PH who I'm sure would be interested smile

The Britsh Horological Institute is in Upton Hall, between Southwell and Newark, stick NG23 5TE into your satnav for directions

Plan is to turn up for 10-ishwink spend a couple of hours there then go find a pub for lunch smile

Any takers?

Yes. I went years ago with the BDC, quite interesting for an hour or three.

Thanks for the heads-up to this. I too have wanted to go for a while, unfortunately I am kind of busy that weekend but going to try and come over early on if the weather's nice!

Cheers.

If you all want a decent pub with very good real ale (landlord has his own brewery) and good food go to The Hearty Goodfellow. Its on church street between the bramley apple and the coach house.

It might be worth booking that by the looks of the website and the reviews. Just turning up on a Sunday for lunch might be a problem.

Just a bump as a reminder for everyone.

We're planning to get there for 10 - not bothering with convoying as I can't be arsed trying to organise one hehe

I did cross-post this on the watch forum a while back thinking you'd see it there.
