147 GTA vs Focus RS
Discussion
There's only one way to find out.......FIIIIIIGHT!
But seriously, I will be getting a new car this month or next, want to spend between 6-8k.
These 2 are at the top of the list atm, the Alfa because it looks good and sounds good, the Focus is perhaps a bit more 'sensible'?
Some pros and cons of each car from owners maybe?
All views/opinions/facts/rants appreciated!

Although bear in mind this was done with one of the apparently "bad" Focus RS's.
Focus RS is probably the better drivers car, the GTA is more of a stylists car. You're usually in one camp or the other, rare to find someone considering both. GTA will probably cost more to run too. Focus RS is easier to extract more power from.
A swift glance to the left of this comment will make you realise: "This guy ain't going to be recommending the Ford...!"
Seriously, though, just watch Top Gear on Dave and they're bound to show the episode where all 3 of them said that whatever car it was that they were testing the 147 GTA against was a better car... But they'd all have the 147 anyway.
ETA: Oh, that's what that link is that's being bandied about, D'OH!

good link, well worth the watch. And it's exactly the reason I would get an alfa too. the RS and GTi, are just well... boring!
A good friend of mine has the GTA and yes he has had some problems with it but it is a good car if you want outright speed and handling it may not be for you but driving enjoyment I recon it's miles ahead of the ford.Alfa is not a car that everyone get the most out easily but when you start to understand the car it is a good car to drive and it is the one I would rather drive over the Ford, interior of the Alfa is also much nicer place to spend your time in.If you you can put up with what is a good car but at the same time that drinks petrol like it is going out of fashion yea I wouldn't even consider the Ford. The reason I say that is he gets single figure mpg's if he pushes the car and at most gets little over 300 miles out of I believe 60 or so liter tank.Whatever you get all I can say is I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
