Have you got a light in the rear boot? Mine hasn't but I noticed that a photo of an American one on Rennlist showed one fitted. Is the lack of one a weight saving measure for the UK market, or is mine just missing something that should be there? There is a clear cover for one, just nothing behind!

Re heated rear screen button - not as daft as it sounds as this activates the heated wing mirrors.

I'll have to look further into the rear boot light. Thinking about it I can't visualise where the microswitch to activate it is on the rear deck opening. Have others defo got a light?

So not a proper spyder then.... think of the weight of that bulb!

Away from home... so can't check.

As a few spyder owners are looking... anyone driving around maidstone last week in white spyder. Rear badge cut down to just spyder. Working in area, colleague took photo as he knew i had one to ask if it was the same model.

Well I'll see if I can be arsed to go into the garage and work out where the wires are to go into the back of the unit that seems to be intact wink

Thanks for the confirmation from most that it should indeed workthumbup

Also... what you thinking about the new boxster. See a spyder version being repeated?

Actually quite like the look of it. So far, the silver with matching roll hoops and red interior looks really good.

Looking forward to the first drives in mags and a drive myself.

Looks pretty good in the photos. I'm nipping over to the Geneva Motor Show on Sunday, so will get to see it in the metal. Reports are good, but I can't see me chopping the Spyder in any time soon!

Proper Spyder - saving weight with half a badge.

Just to conclude on the original topic, I've traced the errant wiring which had dropped well down the back of the boot lining, reconnected, and hey presto, there is now beautiful lighting of the dark recesses of the boot. Thanks again to those who could be arsed to confirm it was worth me making the effort.
