Hi guys, took my hood off the other day as tearing out the carpets at the mo. When i attempted to start undoing the 3 bolts holding the back of the hood down i found out that of the 3 there was only 1 that hadn't disintegrated meaning that the hood was only being held down with the bolt in the middle.

I now have a hood that's sat waiting to go back on but have no idea what size bolt to use OR how to go about doing this because as far as i can tell the nuts go up inside the hood.

Does anyone know either:

- the size of bolt used, or
- if i need to glue the nuts in place into the hood before trying to bolt back in

Any help would be great as there's not much driving to be done whilst its in this state!!

If it's the 3 Im thinking off you get to the nuts in the boot, you have to feel up above the tank. Bit of a pain to push the bolts through and get the nuts started on your own but it can be done, long arms help! The middle bolt I taped in place then gently started the nut, the outers are a bit easier. Lot easier with 2 people though. How did you manage to get the 1 good bolt out without holding the nut with a spanner?
Cant help on the size of bolt needed as can't remember what mine were.

Cheers Mike,

will give that a go and see where i get. As far as the getting the other nut out it was that rusted that when i pulled the trim up to see where the bolt was it snapped off !!! argh. Looks like there's been a LOT of water there at some point but will give it all a shot and see where i get.
