Hi all,

the state of rust all four discs (the ventilation section) on my car are getting to the point now where when i clean the car, if i dont let the car sit and let the discs dry off for a good few hours, the alloys get covered in rusty water as soon as i drive off. This is a pain in the backside for obvious reasons and ruin the once clean wheel.

A few months back i painted the brake hub and the calipers using hammerite paint. Tidied the wheel up alot and still looks good. However, to overcome the remaining rust on the ventilation section of the disc, is it advisable that i paint this section of the disc. Havent really thought about doing so until i came across a picture on the net which shown the ventilation section painted with silver paint. This will solve the problem i have and also look better. Just had my alloys refurbed and bought new badges and wheel nut covers, so by doing this, will finish the look off. will post some pictures up once i carry out the task on the weekend.

thanks in advance

Cant see it doing any harm to be honest, just make sure its heat resistant paint!!
Dont have that problem with mine, although my discs are pretty new if that has anything to do with it.

Maybe brushing some of that curerust stuff on would do the job??
