I could be wrong but would have though this would necessitate new seats. Wiring is probably already there though.

There is no wiring there in place, and you can buy & install 3rd party heater pads from Waeco and fit to the seat. If you aren't comfortable doing this yourself a trimmer will do it for probably £150 or so and a decent auto electrician will need an hour or two to wore up.

The Waeco parts are about £50 and come with basic switches that you can install in the seat itself or discreetly in the footwell. You need to run a feed from the fusebox. If you want it to look and work OEM you can use OEM switches but you'll need to get a circuit made up to manage the lights. .

If you want it to be 100% Porsche OEM for Porsche Warranty compliance you'll need original seats with the element, a loom, switches etc, it would be cheaper to part ex your car as would run into £1000's. However if you are less anal and prepared to have a go yourself, I fitted the option to my Boxster for £60. There was a very detailed thread on another forum if you're interested I can provide details

A well worth it upgrade that transforms the usability of a cab / roadster

We've used these guys a few times to do both leather re-trims and fit heated seats; they specialise in Mercedes, but have no doubt worked on other cars.
