What bargain do you regret not buying now?

I could've got a 1998 Clio from my neighbour for about £120, it had a blown gasket bet would've made a great car for a good mate's girlfriend who paid £950 for a simular car a few weeks after

A member of the Caterham/Lotus 7 owner's club put his Dad's one-owner-from-new E34 touring on sale for £650... I missed out on it and now I'm trying to find a simular car but by and large they're all old and neglected by now.

Depends on your definition of bargain but for me the one I regret is my FiL's E34 M5, one owner from new. 60k-ish, FSH and totally immaculate.

Shockingly fast and comfortable car which sold for peanuts, would have loved to have bought it but at the time I while I could have just afforded the car, couldn't afford the insurance and running costs on it.

There have been plenty over the years, most of which fall into the 'if only I knew then what I know now' category. Included are a 1930s Riley kestrel which went for about £6,500 an almost mint 1968 Daimler 420 Sovereign for £1,750 and an Alvis TD 21 for £1,950.

Truimph Vitesse for under 2K in top condition with overdrive and some lovely suspension modifications. Also a BMW E30 M3 for just under 8K which today would be nudging £22K

A Ford GT40 that won the Index of Efficiency at Le Mans, was up for sale in a garage near to me for ages in the showroom, up at £3,500. That was the late 70's, but still, quite a bargain..

Worth an absolute fortune now.

I've never actually been to view a car that I regret not buying. But I have seen dozens of tempting adverts over the years. One that I remember from about 20 years ago was for a Ford Mustang Mach 1 for 1500 quid o.n.o. like this one. You couldn't give away V8 American muscle cars in the UK back then. I've no idea what they're worth now, but I would imagine rather more.
