Another CAAD10 incoming

After weeks of internet and bike shop surfing I finally made a decision on a road bike and as is the norm more than doubled the original budget... 
It's a 2011 model so came in substantially cheaper than the 2012, but identical in every respect I can see!
I just fell in love with the black over black with some black scheme!
I love the graphics as you can't see them... I guess they polish the frame, put decals on it then sandblast and take them off again prior to anodising.
A small crime has been committed against the rules of road bikes by using mountain bike pedals, but I'm not investing in road shoes until I know what shape my foot is going to be after I have a toe cut off in a few weeks time...!
It will always be ten times better than I am, but I can't blame the equipment for my speed on the hills.
1st ride Friday afternoon...Can't wait.

Must be the season for them (or the fact that they are a bloody good bike at a bloody good price), mate of mine has just bought a CAAD 10 but I believe his is in white - not seen it yet but hope it does not make him faster, I quite enjoy hearing him huffing and puffing to keep up!
I bought a CAADX at the weekend and the guys in the LBS said that they had shifted quite a few 10's this year, in fact its now quite difficult to get a 2011 model in a 'popular' size.

Luckily all the wheel sabotage products came in a little plastic bag and nowhere near the bike!
I agree about trying to find one in the right size, I could only find this one at Pauls Cycles in Dereham. Most were either land of the giants or midget spec! It's been very nicely set up by them and only required the most basic assembly to get it out of the packaging. Good service on price and delivery as well.
This is a 58cm and weighs in a 7.4kg all in, which is about as much as my left arm...

The 56cm Dura Ace seems to have gone (there was one listed on Monday!). They do still have Ultegra version though.

Cuts out the inevitable step of buying an allez then buying a more expensive bike, which is pretty much what people tend to do. Also the residual is good enough on bikes like that, that you can get out of it at a reasonable loss if you need to.

I'm too old to go through steps towards the kit I really want. I went out for my first ride this morning and found the bike to be laughing at my miserable efforts, which was a little embarrassing, so I going to sit on the sofa and learn to breath again then try again this afternoon!

+1 I'm too old to go through steps towards the kit I really want. My initial budget for a roadie (5 months ago) was in the region of £400 but then I started reading about the mechs/frames and thought I'd rather get a solid bike with some good bits which will last me a while (and also be upgradable)
CAAD10 with full 105 groupset hit the nail on it's head!
