How to make a problem worse.... :(

So tonight I thought I would try and get my drivers door connections cleaned up as the door had been intermittently playing up and now not opening at all either inside or out. Cleaned them up with contact spray, all looks better. Door card back on and nothing still.
So I unplug the door/lock module in the boot and reconnect, nothing still, only passenger side opening. Being a genius I decided to give it one more go unplug and without thinking manged to plug the wrong connector back in the wrong plug, all 3 being the same - snap, crackle, something fried in the box, GREAT!
So now neither doors are opening as something is burnt out on the board, only the passenger window comes down a crack but the door won't open. Pretty angry with me right now....

So it seems I now need

1. My door switch module replacing, fixing, any ideas?
2. A door reed switch, where from?
3. Some waterproof connectors to replace those dodgy ones in the door, 2x6way and a 2way?

Should have just watched a film or something instead.....

The rs equivalent reed switch is out of stock, can I order this one instead which seems almost the same spec, just slightly higher rated and £1 more?

No that switch won't work. The Cerbera uses a normally closed (NC) contact, the one you link to is normally open (NO)

Okay thanks for checking that T. If it comes to it I might go to clevertrev if RS have none in stock

So I sent the box off for repair today to Ps electronics, at least by breaking it, when it comes back I will know that it won't be the culprit...
Next step, I have also ordered some waterproof connectors (Found you bay link T). Because it needs to be done anyway rather than just cleaning up the old ropey ones and this may solve it.

From here I will check the reed switches, how do i test for this? I looked through paperwork and this has previously been replaced on my car but back in 07 so I guess this could still fail in theory?

After this I will look at door buttons inside and out and maybe window switches.

You can fairly easily check the reed switches with a meter and a magnet and the buttons with a meter. I found that replacing all the door connectors has been an effective and permanent cure for my door and window problems.
