Anyone know of this motor? I think it was to go to a BM dealer (one in Scotland had something very similar "comming soon", but it disappeared.
Then this appeared.

Anyone know if you could warranty this as its Cat D?

It was in dry storage for two years according to the advert so it has almost certainly missed services and who knows what conditions it's in? :|

Sorry, I thought you were making your point based on this car. smile

They are a bit of a performance bargain at the moment aren't they? Usual caveats apply of course...

How badly can you trash a modern car with an automated gear box these days? I am sure it cant be over reved, and you can't destroy the gear box by misusing it. Sure they might have a few goes at the launch control (if they had 30mins to read the manual), but I really doubt there could be that much wrong with it.

£16k for a 28k M5, wow!

3 or 4 launches and the clutch wont be worht much cop, especially if theyve been done back to back.

True true, that's if they knew how to do it. Not likely if it was stolen, the last thing a thief would want to due is a subtle launch at 8000rpm. Joy riding is a thing of the past (I hope).

Do these M5s use oil like the E39s? If so then you could quite quickly be running on low oil/starvation.
