New Kia ad's a bit sh1p?
Discussion
I reckon it looks like something I might use to chisle out a new lock on a door. Saying the Ford Modeo looks better and the Passat is more expensive than the Ford does not really help the case in favour of the Kia.
On a separate note I can imagine buying a Kia with a 7-year warranty for use on track days.

Have been in a few of these new KIa's and have to say that they are bloody good!
If you are after a white goods car for a to be or mile munching and can see past the badge, the interior fit out is as solid / good as ford / vag etc, and a very nice place to be. Engines have more than enough go to keep the car out of trouble, and they are looking like quality cars outside too.
Dunno about the adverts though, not seen one.

I'd say the Optima looks a lot better than the Mondeo/Insignia IMO. I'd agree that the established brands should be very wary of the Hyundai Kia group. They have very big sales numbers around the world already and very big goals!
Hyundai pretty much went from nothing to the world's biggest shipbuilder in not too many years, the car side of the business would love to do the same!

I am old enough to remember when Datsun (nissan) first brought cars over here, the same comments were made then about them as people are making about KIA. But you must remember that these cars will not be bought by enthusiasts they will be bought by people who want value, long warranties give them that as it becomes a throw away item. Give them a few more years and they will be seenin the same vein as others as they introduce hero cars like the GTR
I've driven a few for my work and I'm massively impressed with them.
i think the adverts are clever and will get people through the showroom doors....once there I don't think it will be a hard sell to get customers to part with their money
tell me another mainstream marque that seem to have 'got it right' as much as Kia at the moment?
- decent styling (imho)
- decent engine range
- good pricing
- 7 year / 100k warranty
