Im seriously looking at cars but it's been a good 6 months since i last checked it's value, and want to know if im getting screwed over on a p/x front from dealers.

Mondeo ST220, 2004, Silver, Manual.
Optional 6x CD & Xenons.
72,000 with FSH and immaculate condition inside & out.
It's had a rear end smash but hasn't been written off.

Im guessing it books at about £2500?

If its Cat D I'd be surprised if they offered you £1500... trade is 2000/2150 for a clean car.

£2500 sounds a bit punchy, large engined petrol cars are being hammered by the trade at the moment. All depends what your changing for though and how much margin the dealer has to play with.

It sounds like £1800 or so to me.

Trade @ 70,000 miles is £2,475, retail £4,075...

I've been offered £2000 against a £14.5k 3-series. I spoke to the dealer who says he might negotiate but it books at 2k.

Are we sure on this, there's a lot of various answers here :/

Glasses guide. Assumed it's a 5dr hatch.
I don't think the valuation is too bad - 3.0 petrol engine is going to be hard work with fuel prices as they are....
