Anyone know good medicine or a good way to get rid of one?
Had it for nearly a month now, not a sore throat and it comes and goes a bit.

Someone in my office has had one for over a month, been to the doctors and they didn't do anything...so saves wasting time I'll ask here before I venture over to el doctors.

Regardless of what your colleagues GP's did or didn't do you really do need to see your GP. A persitant cough shouldn't be ignored. Please don't just leave it, if you insist on not seeing your GP then seek the advice of your local pharmacist as they are also trained to give sound advice.

Ive had something similar, 2nd week in Jan started with a wheezy cough Dr said it was a viral infection and would last 2 - 4 weeks, and after 4 weeks it had gone, got back to normal 2/3 weeks later cough comes back, bad enough for me to be off work for a week, went to Dr again, said might be asthma? had chest X Ray and doing peak flow readings. Still got the cough but its getting better slowly, Dr has given me nothing for it so feels like I wasted my time going frown

I've had a returning sore throat since November.Went to the docs, bloodwork done and nothing there. It flares up as a feeling of slight nausea and a sore throat every two weeks and lasts for a couple of days.Basically the doc said it would go in time. It's quite dispiriting and has f**cked up my early season running completely but such is life.

I had the same from mid December to late January, I cured it with a chicken kebab and chips covered in hot chilli sauce. Day nurse etc seemed to stop the coughing, but it was back as soon as I stopped taking the medication.

Chilli sauce, do it biggrin
