Our last advanced session in 2011

In addition to our popular standard studio session where we teach the basics of studio shooting, we also offer a session to suit the more advanced photographer, and our next advanced session will take place on Saturday 24th March.

PistonHeads HQ just happens to be alongside the LAT photographic studio, and we have arranged for LAT's pro snapper Pete Spinney to host a session aimed at being the next step up from our standard sessions. He'll walk you through various angles and styles, working together as a group to achieve the perfect shot.

Inside the studio

During the morning we will be outside using the grounds of the studio to capture moving and location shots. After lunch (included) we invite you to bring your cars into the studio where we’ll focus on capturing details.

As the tuition on this session is fairly fast-paced, you will need to understand the basics of your camera, but Pete and assistant snapper Adam will be on hand to offer assistance throughout. During the day we will cover the following areas:

• ‘Clamp-on’ shots - How to achieve the perfect moving image through cornering and straight line driving at low speed
• Location lighting – How to light cars outdoors on location, both in daylight and also in an dark multi-storey car park
• Studio detail – Lighting techniques to capture the finer details of interior and exterior styling.

This group is designed for no more than 8 guests and a few spaces are still available priced at £200 per person. Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis, and to reserve a space you will be required to send a £50 deposit with the balance payable on the day.

^{Note: You will need to own your own camera equipment and we recommend that you bring all you have as it is better to have too much than too little. We expect most of you use Canon or Nikon, but if you have another brand we will still be able to show you how to get the most from your equipment.}

Hang on.. i was almost won over with the thought of £200 for an awesome shoot of my car..

Am i reading that right, paying £200 and having to bring all your own equipment to take pictures of your own car? :|
