Morning all. This morning when I fired up the car absolutely no sound from the radio at all, either CD or any radio station. No hiss, pop crackle nothing. It's a CDR24 in an 06 cayman and was working perfectly last night when I parked up.

Any ideas or am I a victim of sunspot activity smile I haven't got a manual for it and can't seem to find one on-line either.

Try pulling the fuse(s) for the head unit and for the amplifier if separate. I had my CDR22 [986 era] freeze on two occasions (it appeared to be off but would not work. On closer inspection, there was a dim back light in the display panel so something was clearly powered and it ended up draining the battery). Pulling the fuse killed the power properly and that appeared to cured it. You may need to re-enter your PIN to get it working again though.

Thanks for that. I went out to the car, took the fuse panel off and sat reading the little book for a while to identify which fuse, turned the radio on just to check and it worked !!

I am now baffled

Very occassionally mine does this - I just give it a reboot via the offontoggle.

You should think of this as a blessing and an opportunity to make use of the in built sound system.

You will find the volume control under your right foot and the station can be selected by using a combination of your left hand and left foot... There is no RDS however the DAB of oppo is available on all models.

....enjoy the music!!
