Fuel filter

I am planning on changing my fuel filter at the weekend, and in the bible it says I should depressurise the fuel system first, I do not seem to be able to find a description on how to do this. Also when it is all back together do i need to bleed air from the sytem or is it self priming?
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

just undo the filter, it will leak a bit of fuel, but any pressure will be lost.

Take a wire off the pump,, run engine for a mo , it will self prime
make sure filter is fitted correct way,,

Just done mine , while is was there all the fuel pipes got changed ,worth doing..piece of mind ..

What a pain in the a**e that is trying to fit the filter. Finally got there after much Effin & Blindin, I don't think they could have found a more awkward spot to place it. Anyway service and jobs are nearly done role on Summer.

Checked my fuel filter when putting in new fuel line. Looked clean inside. Checked it by filling with clean fuel and blew back with air line (mouth!). Result, no dirt. Its ok, put it back.
