'S' Club Heaven2 meet................
Discussion
Only a month to go now and as Dale is away and doesnt have access to interenet he has aksed me to keep you guys updated of the developments.
There will be a few helpful people on hand at the meet such as a local trimmer to answer any questions/give quotes for any work needed. There is a also classic car bookshop which has a good TVR section, I am told, opposite the dealership which will open up specially for us that day too.
Silverstone are doing their best to make it a good day for us all, I am really looking forward to it.

Well done Mike...
I don't want to sound negative at all....But is there going to be anything going on...?
The point I'm trying to make is, are we all going to be standing around just looking at each others cars and nattering or is there going to be events??? or entertainment???
Is there any sort of timetable, including the LMES event?
Anyone got any suggestions....?
Dave

Not so sure about entertainment dave, although there should be enough of that from all the engine noise
Not sure about a start time either at this point but probably around 10am onwards would be a good idea. I am sure people will arrive throughout the morning and with 60 different S Series cars at one location I am sure a lot of time will be taken up looking around all the cars and having a natter! Couple that with a few of us having test drives in the newer Tivs at teh dealers to tempt us and I am sure we can fill the day. We will probably go for a convoy drive in the early afternoon
just to scare some of the locals, will be nice to see so many 'S's together on the road and of course there will be the BBQ at Lunchtime
Hands up who thinks they will be bored? I am sure I could arrange a juggler or punch and Judy show for you if you so desire Dave, jut let me know
Mike
PS Would be nice if a few girlies were on hand to brighten the place up a bit
!???

All,
I am planning a route for us to drive in a convoy around the area, (start and finish at Silverstone) I know some of you will be traveling a long distance so i propose two routes one will be 12-15 miles long the other will be 25-30 miles. both routes will take about 35 mins
please vote now!
me 25-30.
Paul.

hello,
I was lucky enough to buy my 1989 S2 today, I'm new to the scene and the meet sounds great, how much does it cost? and whats the date, cant wait,
Cheers,
Will
There's no cost, just go to the Pistonheads main page, click on the Calendar link, go to August and you will see the meet listed on the 15th. Put your name down as we need to give the dealership figures for the catering! The dealership is putting on a free BBQ, should be a good day, look forward to seeing you there and well done on your choice of car you will love it, I had an S2 before the V8S and it was so much fun.
You will be grinning for a while, get used to going for a drive for no reason............!

Thanks Mike - will probably join you if nothing more direct - not sure whereabouts St Neots is, but will have a look later (fancy a butchers around your new interior anyway!)
No problem, it depends where you are in Essex/Herts but it shouldnt be too far out of the way as we are only about 25 miles north of Welwyn on the A1 and we will be going accross the A421 I would expect through Bedford to the M1 etc...... Just let us know nearer to the time, I am sure we could meet up with Podie and a few of the other Essex guys En route too!
