New Shape Focus Zetec S - Which Engine?

We'll need to replace our 99 Focus Mk1 soon and quite keen on the new Mk3, now ive seen them the Mk2s dont do it for me. Thing is i quite like the look of the warmer Zetec S: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3584990.htm .

I couldnt stomach the depreciation on a new one so ill wait til there are more used examples. The thing is would it be totally feeble to go for the looks only and have the 115PS Petrol or diesel versions? Or do you think it has to be the 180PS version or nothing?

I could consider an older ST but not keen on the idea of reduced fuel economy and doesnt quite fit our need for an all round family motor.

The 180PS 1.6 EcoBoost is a great engine - there'll be a warranty friendly Mountune upgrade to take it to 200PS out later this year too....

My ST is a great family motor, it is a Focus after all!

Exactly, apart from bad on fuel, and more tax/insurance, it does all the family duties of a non ST and then some
