I thought this was dead and buried. Suarez apologised, Dalgliesh apologised, all this nonsense about Evra not putting his hand forward in a proper fashion that some Liverpool fans spouted at the time was never the case as Suarez accepted responsibility.

I would have thought Liverpool would be keen to let this issue die, given the damage it did to the club's reputation, and would have instructed all their players to say no more.

And the yesterday, in the Mail, an interview with Glen Johnson, who blames Evra for the whole thing and saying it was Evra's fault they didn't shake hands and suarez is innocent.

What's wrong with him? Has he not seen Suarez's apology. Has no one at Liverpool taken control of the situation and tried to limit damage.

I just don't why Liverpool can't seem to take control of this issue.

Some papers have slightly dubious editing, purely to get a response.

Should have read the Guardian account. Made it sound much worse than the Mail

A forced apology is as good as no apology. Most shameful incident supporting Liverpool since the bleak times of Hooliganism.

Yes, read it in full. What bit did I get wrong when I said Johnston still talking about it and blaming Evra?
