Loathe to show my ignorance but I find the following confusing.

Driving without due care and attention
Dangerous Driving
Reckless Driving

How do the BiB determine which applies to a particular act of dumbness? Another thread cited undertaking as Driving Without Due Care but to a lay man this would probably seem more like dangerous driving as it is an intentional act rather than an oversight. Is there a general guiding principal?

Off the top of my head...

Dangerous driving (sect 2) is driving which falls FAR below what would be expected of a safe, careful driver and a safe, careful driver witnessing the driving would view it as dangerous.

Due car and attention (sect3) is driving that fall simply below what would be expected of a safe, careful driver etc etc...

There are occasions when Dangerous Driving is plea bargained at court to Due Care..>The defendant might retain his licence, but with about 9 points added and a hefty fine. (Presuming his/her licence was clean when they walked into court)..

Extended stuff like Tail Gaiting, very excessive speeds etc are dangerous....mere lapses in concentration without much deliberation would be Due Care...to put it into Layman's terms..
