anyone got a run down on how to do this? I know I am too cheap to feather Mr Haynes nest!

Depends how competent you are. It should only cost around £200 for a garage to do it for you.

£200? Just had a major service, cambelt, waxoyl & new cam cover gasket & oil leak fixed at the back of the block for £420 at Freelance Mazda, in Chatham.

Main dealer.. £200 is about right.
