Haven't been in my Chimaera for a couple of weeks - been using the mundane shed car. But I had to take it round a mates to get the front fixed today - F*ck its quick!!! I'd forgotten how fast these things really are. And how much fun they are when you hang the back out on a roundabout!! I guess you really do get too used to it when its your normal daily drive.

So.. errm... if you're getting annoyed with your car, leave it a couple of weeks, drive something shit and then you'll remember!
Cheers

I'm hopeing for the same feeling sometime soon, today marks 2 months of the car being 'off road' and after that long driving the Clio it's going to feel like a rocket ship if it ever comes back

It was due back this week, but there seems to be an 'oil pressure' problem

It definitely will! And everything feels really tight too. And all the other traffic on the road is really tall!

Mine had an oil pressure problem once, after replacing the camshaft. The timing/waterpump cover had cracked - easy to overtighten and not easy to tell.

Might be useful to you, might be completely irrelevant.

Well the camshaft has been out, not by me, but this might be of use to those that are putting it back together joolz

Didn't work for me. Took the Chim to work for its first decent run in a year, on my Birthday, and yesterday got the NIP to prove it. Second one in a month from the nice chaps in Bedfordshire - and the second time I have absolutely no idea where they were hiding. Bollox.

Got a result from the woman who backed into Chim so it looks like I will be without her for a couple of weeks. Time to use something else as a daily driver

The other times I have been without Chim it was that fabulous V8 burble I missed most :V8burblysmiley:

well thats too bad. I bet it sucks buying such a nice car and not being able to use it.
But I guess thats what you pay for with TVR ownership
