Are there any 40k Sagaris's about?
Discussion
Plenty of 40k ones on the sales list. Just not low 40s...

Think in the current market you are going to have compromise on colour and or mileage to come up with Sags at the low end of £40K. Don't be put off by mileage though the later speed six engines are proving to be generally strong and reliable.Mine is running at 42,000 miles and (touches wood) still feels very good and there are many that are at much higher mileages.
As for colour buy one enjoy it and in a few years time if the prices continue to strengthen as they are currently you could have a colour change respray and probably still break even at sale time.
Way things are going your sales post is likely to be reading "Are there any £50K Sagaris's about ?" in a few years time.

Yes I like the orange too. The green one at Target is an interesting colour.. but it was a write off!
The cars at dealers for circa 48k were bought for less than that, and that's what I would like to do.. buy a car off somebody rather than them letting a dealer have it!
I'm also considering an NSX, but both these cars cost the same as a really nice F355!?

The way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if they started to break the 60k mark by then.We already have a few examples hitting 50k and while they are good examples, they don't look to be stunning, exceptional pieces. I've seen examples just as good I think at TVR meets

Also, don't be put off my colour. Colour is easy to change. You could get one you don't like the colour of and then change it in a year or so. I can virtually guarantee no matter what Sag you will get you will probably end up "tweaking" it in some way. Most people do - not everyone, but most people I've spoken with who own them have done "something" on it.
All IMHO of course...

You may find private sales of popular models like the Sagaris filter through the local TVR community first before they get offered generally. At least, that has been my experience. People prefer to sell to people they know or work through people they know before opening up to the world. The cars at dealers for circa 48k were bought for less than that, and that's what I would like to do.. buy a car off somebody rather than them letting a dealer have it!

When they go to the world, the prices usually go up as well :/
I've been thinking of selling one of my TVRs as a property I have been after for a while might come on the market, been offered good money for my Sagaris and was talking to the chaps at TvR about selling it who said I would be mad to sell the Sag and I should sell my 500 instead as I will always be able to buy another Griff where Sagaris prices might be £100k+ in a few years,
If I took the offer on my Sag now I would still make a good profit but if I sit on it for a few years it just might be worth big bucks,
also if I sell it now I know I will want another one as nothing comes close to it as exclusivity/driving experience/smiles per mile, and will I be able to afford another one again in a few years, probably not if they do hit £100+k

Still none the wiser.. are you selling or not? If I took the offer on my Sag now I would still make a good profit but if I sit on it for a few years it just might be worth big bucks,

To put it simply, if you want a Sagaris, now is probably the best time to get one, because prices are currently going "up-up-and-away"! Why exactly *shrugs* probably lots of reasons, but they have jumped about 15-20k in the last 2 years or so and that is just in the UK.
It may be a bubble and the prices may come down again - who knows, but one thing is certain the market of available ones is getting smaller, so simple supply and demand...

Have a look on the Tvr Car club site as when we were looking, there were a few advertised on there that were not advertised elsewhere at first. Keep an eye out on spec that you want and when you see one look at it asap. We contacted an owner who wasnt advertising his car and bought that with the help of Pistonheaders like Don1,Tove,Mr G and a few more that new the car and owner from variuos events.
I think finding a £40k sag at the moment you are going to just have to take what comes colour wise if your lucky to find one. There was one a few weeks ago in france for £38k that was a bargin! But no-one that knows that current market is going to sell for less than that as they are clearly worth more and only going up.
I think there is a nice one local to me in the classifield for £42k that is a private sale in reflex purple/green. Maybe he would take at little closer to £41k but you know its not going to be much less as someone like RG or STR8SIX could advertise it for £45k+
