Don't see the problem there really, the seller is pretty open about the origins. Not at all like a cut and shut, is it?

no, but he is effecively selling kit car registration documents to be transfered onto another car, might even end up on a spartan, but doubt it. From that one picture of the chassis he is "selling" it looks like too much effort to resurect that, specially as you can pick up an entire spartan for ~£4k.
