Headlight Reflector

Hi All,

I did post this in the equivalent parts section but not had any luck.

I have noticed that the drivers side headlight reflector has rusted considerably over the last month or so (possibly due to the leak I've had somewhere).

I'm looking for a replacement headlight reflector (drivers side), can anyone recomend a replacement, or is it possible to spray it with a reflective coat? (the paint I have found appears to be HIGHLY flamable)

The part number of the reflectors is in the equivalent parts thread. (I know - I put it there a while ago)
They are available from most of the usual specialist suppliers. Try giving TVR Power or Racing Green a ring - they usually both have them in stock.

Reflective paint will not work as it isn't really very reflective. If you want to do a DIY repair, try derusting the reflector then electro stripping the existing chrome plating before using a thick plating layer of copper followed by a nickel flash, then a high brightness cobalt plating. Probably not really worth doing unless you already have a home electroplating setup.

thank you for the reply, very informative and yeah most likely not worth the hassle of diy.

I tried the equivalent parts thread and searching google/pistonhads equivalennt parts and still nothing, I'll go throuh and have another look though.

now founnd the thread, thankyou - would have helped if I had searched for HeadLAMP

bosch headlamp part numbers:
LENS = 1.305604027 (TVR PART M0434)
REFLECTOR = 1.305314930
