Power upgrades for R35 GTR - who's best in UK?
Discussion
collecting a new r35 in a few weeks and want to know who's best to do power upgrades in UK?
any feedback gratefully rec'd.
have no track day aspirations for the car, purely a road car so power upgrades will suffice, no need for brakes/suspension etc but don't want to extend it (gearbox?) to the point it becomes fragile. have no clue where practical power ceiling is for current R35.
any feedback greatly appreciated.

thanks I agree, using it properly requires an early start or a late night or a trip to europe. expect to be doing plenty of all 3.
litchfield appear to be only game in town? are their kits modular so you can keep adding if you want more? any sense what power starts to really stress the components (ie you neeed to be careful about running full power)?

http://www.sumopower.com/ get some good feedback and they run the works race team IIRC.
Personally I've used Litchfields for a stage 2 conversion (and all my servicing) and I can't fault the service, price or outcome!

Pop over and ask on gtr.co.uk
No offence to anyone who has posted on here, but I have heard/seen horror stories of 2 of the tuners mentioned and I wouldnt let either of them anywhere near my car!!
What? Nothing but great feedback on Litchfields and SVM on gtr.co.uk. My cars off to Litchfields in april for a few tweaks too, cant wait!
No offence to anyone who has posted on here, but I have heard/seen horror stories of 2 of the tuners mentioned and I wouldnt let either of them anywhere near my car!!thanks for the feedback. I've now joined GTR owners club so we'll see what they see say. given the prominence that Litchfield and Sumo have, it would certainly be a surprise if they'd caused a series of horror stories unless their growth has meant they've had to neglect the quality of their workmanship.
Mate although I'm new to GTR ownership I have been on the GTR forum since early 2009 when i first started saving. Certainly never heard of any horror stories re Litchfield. They appear to be a 1st Class out fit and it's where I will be taking my pride n joy with out a doubt ; )
Not seen anything bad about SVM either TBH. There are lots of owners over on the forum that back both outfits and I'm sure if you are on there now you wont see a bad word about them. In my experience that normally means they are doing something right as us customers can be a fussy lot and aren't scared of voicing bad experiences on the net.
