A couple of us from the Readingf area are planning to head up to the Chatsworth gathering early on the Sunday morning returning Sunday evening, is any one up for a bit of a convoy and if so where meet, services at J10 on M40 would seem a likely spot?

I may well be up for this - will need to chat with Mrs Don1 though.... What sort of time would we need to meet, I see we buy tickets on the gate.

I'm in Richmond, which way would you be going from Reading?

Well I am actually in Marlow so could meet up at the lay-by at the top of the Wycombe Rd by the Blacksmiths Arms, this is right by J4 of M40. We could then join the M40 up to J10 to pick up any others?

Looks like a good place to meet is the STR8SIX workshop, we can join Jason and his team and all drive up in convoy.

Only problem is that we are looking at a 5:30 start from their workshop.

What? We're only allowed in from 09:30, and AA route finder is telling me it's 3.37 to Chatsworth from mine - and I take over an hour to get to Str8-Six!

Are they going there earlier to set up a stall? I'd suggest that I'll join later on... Leaving mine at six is bad enough... let alone 4ish! smile

I use to live in Wargrave and could get to Chatsworth in 2.5 hrs from memory - if a clear route. I would always go via A43 so as to avoid Brum and to break up the boredom of the M1.

Yep, Jason and the team do have a display so I presume they're going up early to set up.

There's a good chance i'll be in Leicester the night before but if not then i'll join the convoy up there if that's ok!

As much as it would be good to all head off from Jasons, and as much as i love driving, 4.30 just a big no no for me!

Yes please do join us, more the merrier.

I know it is an early start but a stop along the way for a fat boys breakfast and an empty A43 to enjoy the roundabouts on still appeals.

I think I will be joining Jasons group going up and help them set up if needed then grab a quick kip on the grass with the sound of hundreds of TVR's arriving :-)

Just hope it is not raining.

Just a little up-date, I spoke to Jason today and he said they will be leaving around 6am which is much more appealing!

That's a lot more appealing. But I'd suggest meeting under the bridge instead of waking his neighbours at 6am on a Sunday?

Good point, I know the woman in the house across the field keeps complaining about the noise.

Saw the new race car yesterday, looks absolutely lovely.

Yep, met the woman one Saturday afternoon whilst trying to solve a missfire under load paperbag

Hope the race Tuscan is still there next Wednesday when I drop my car off for some bits and bobs to be done cloud9

If I go on the Sunday morning as opposed to Saturday, then I will pop over to Junction 10 from Bicester and join up with whoever else is heading up to Chatsworth.
