Great afternoon's driving
Discussion
Took a drive down to Racing Green and before I came home I decided to take in a couple of laps of the Pirbright bends... The sun came out to play and amazingly the roads were pretty much free of other cars. Woo hoo!
God, I LOVE this car. What a great feeling it is, driving a TVR on roads like that. I'm sure my second lap was faster too...
I pulled over and took some pics, my car's first proper post-anthracite wheels photo shoot.

Great pics! , the wheels suite the car perfectly, hope it's nice tomorrow, 100 mile round trip to pick son up for W/E!!
And to think, you're selling it!, are you torn????? lol
Torn is not the word.... Distraught is more like it! If I could keep her I totally would. This is the most amazing car I've ever owned (and there's quite a list). And I've just got her looking like I wanted too. Oh bugger.

Great sales pitch mate
Cracking car, I feel really sorry for you.
I was speaking to someone in the trade today who was saying they can't get enough coupes.
If you're interested in selling to a dealer I think they may be worth a call. Let me know if you want to know who it was, might be a bit far north for you though

God it looks stunning - girlracer! The finest example I think I have seen.
Neil.b, what are you replacing yours with?
I'm running two cars at the moment (check profile), I've decided one has to go. I'd absolutely love to keep the TVR as a second car but we just don't have the space (3 cars, single garage). Gutted to have to make the decision and I'll probably come back somewhere down the line, but at the moment its just not practical. Both cars are a bit too similar (both two seats, both fast as sh1t off a shovel) so there's no real reason to keep both.

Dumb question: Where are the Pirbright bends?
Pirbright is a village in Hampshire right near Racing Green. If you ever have a Racing Green test drive, you will probably get taken on this racetrack like route through the surrounding woodland between Ash Vale and Pirbright. I think it's about 3 miles, and it loops all the way back to the start. Soooo much fun!

Neil.b, keep the TVR ditch the Datsun! ![]()
It's funny how when people are trying to make fun of the 350Z they called it a Datsun, because I think most Z owners would prefer that the 350Z was a Datsun! That's where all it's Z heritage lies.Just a thought!
Indeed

Ditch the 350z? Now why on earth would I do a silly thing like that. Maybe I should take you for a spin in it and then you might understand....

Sorry did not mean to cause offense. I liked the 350z until I saw the boot space! The blasted strut kind of ruined it for me. That said, in california next week so thought I may hire one.
If you do, bear in mind that anything but the newest 04 cars over there have the original US suspension set up, whereas the new ones have Euro spec. There is a world of difference. Although they will still ride better than almost anything else you could rent... which isn't saying much. Most US cars should come with sick bags IMO!
Agree about that strut... more useable space in the T350.
