DIY carpet replacement how long

Gents,
having shaken the cobwebs off the old gril over the weekend it is evident that the carpets are far from their best, what might have given it way was the smell
the mould or the Mrs saying don't wait any longer replace the carpets now, i'm not going in the car again until they are replaced ( might leave them then
)
Anyway my question to those of you who have done the DIY carpet replacement with a certain suppliers ready made kit, is simply how long did it take from start to finish.
And second with spec did you go for, e.g natural or man made fibre and how is it working out.

Myself and Threefishorange have both made our own carpets using the old ones for patterns.
I bought 80/20 wool from coverdales, buying around 6 linear mtrs.
after cutting, taking them to be bound, the actual fitting could be done over about 4-5 nights.
The rear area is a bit fiddly to get it right, the trans tunnel can be a pain in the back once you get into the foot well area.
But I think both mine and TFO's look great, both fit the car perfectly.

I also made mine from the roll and then had them bound by a local upholsteror. Wool mixture looks better but I went for synthetic as its an open car. Good job I did as a heater hose burst saturating the passengers carpet with boiling coolant, a good rinse and as good as new, wool would have shrunk and been ruined.
If doing mine again, would opt for the Coverdale kit ready bound, it would save a great deal of work and others on here have been very happy with this route. Coverdales spray on glue is excellent but dont bother with their glue remover I found ordinary white spirit much better, it even shifted dried glue. I did mine over a winter so not sure of actual hours but I also had the dash out,the whale tail and the hood, it gave a lot more space to work.
