air filter

I am finding it increasingly hard to find any garage or supplier who knows anything about TVR S... I have managed to source new hoses and the like, but when it gets down to the more important bits I'm having no luck. I need to replace the alternator and air filter. Current air filter is a Pipercross unit, but its seen beter days, front face has dropped off. Can anyone point me in the right direction, no garage etc seems to be able..... Thanks, Nick ( its an S2 by the way, 2.9 )

There is one for sale on ebay search under TVR S. They are not difficult to find, just a bit on the expensive side. If you dont have any luck on Ebay you try Merlin Motor Sport at Castle Coombe.

It's a twenty year old low volume production sports car, you can't really blame your "average" garage or motor factors for not being over familiar with them ! (imho)

Try asking for an alternator for a Ford Granada 2.9i , you may have a little more luck

As suggested, usually air filters available on Ebay (it's a Pipercross item)

Found both of those items at my motorfactors a couple of years ago. They had to order them in but wasn't a problem. Air filter was pricey though about £50.00

They are based in Epsom Surrey

Vouch for that. Mine goes to Elmwood. Ask for Claire Toby or Peter - very friendly. Other garages specialising in area - RacIng Green TVR, fernhurst TVR, Austec In Gatwick. Plenty around, just gotta look on internet or in TVR Club Mag
