Hi, does anyone know if there's a way of reducing the sensitivity to road bumps? We have a Mk2.5 with Bilstein dampers and the standard (dash mounted) CD player can skip horribly over fairly minor road bumps. I've done the usual tests and this isn't an issue with one scabby CD but anything that's playing.

Thanks if you can help.

Mine does this, annoying huh?

I've found its slightly better with genuine cds or copies on good quality cds...tescos etc cdrs seem the worst.

I plan on getting an aftermarket HU eventually, because it does my head in!

Fit an Aux socket and use an MP3 player.

My aftermarket head unit does this too. I think part of the reason for this is that the installer did not have enough screws to mount it properly and so it is propped up on an empty paracetamol bottle....

hahahahaah! Seriously? You must have made such a disgruntled face when you saw that.

I might actually RTFM and see if it mentions anything in there. First time for everything, eh guys?
