as per the title - I've been keeping a very close eye (checking about 6 times a day) on the classifieds for about 6months now and hoping for my ideal Tuscan to magically appear! as yet, it hasn't!

What I'm looking for is a MkII S, ideally in black or a dark subtle colour (but not green) with black or subtle interior. I've spoken to Craig at track V road who is keeping an eye out for me, I've also tried James Agger, but am yet to get through. The only car that comes close is this one http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3644761.htm but I'm not particularly keen on the colour. I've been kicking myself a bit, as there was a silver spectraflair S (with TVR Power/Sagaris alloys) that I missed out on - the grey/blue interior put me off - it was suggested that I could change the carpets/seat inserts to my liking, but it was too late by then.

Anyway, I guess what I'm asking is if anybody is considering selling such a car or if they can suggest other places to look (it seems they all end up on PH classifieds anyway!)?

That blue one is nice. I like that colour but it wouldn;t be my choice, infact i hate to say it but not many colours are my choice.
Black does look awesome but two things with that are it doesn't imo show off the shape of the tuscan and secondly it is the worst colour there is to keep looking mint frown

However why not but any colour and have it resprayed in your perfect colour. I think thats what i would do if i was really searching and nothing came up after 6 months.

Hehehe sorry I got the silver one, I missed it first time round, it took me 2 years to get it!!
be patient or as suggested buy a good car for oily bits and change all the other stuff.I did it with my Tamora. It enabled me to get my ideal car.

It's interesting as I understand there were only around 40 of those made so I suppose there are less of them than the Sags around and the prices for those seem crazy at the moment , if you can find one

Have you ever seen reflex charcoal in the flesh? Photographs (and videos) really don't do it justice and had I realised it had green in it, like you, I would have never even considered it. Luckily I didn't realise so went to view the car and I'm so glad I did. It's now my favourite colour on a Tuscan (although there are others I love almost equally) and I've not met anyone who doesn't like it. Had a few people make comments about how they also would never want a green car but would make an exception for this colour.

Not a good photo but you can see what I mean about it looking very dark. It's often referred to as being black by people spotting me (although I've been referred to in spotted threads as maroon and purple recently biggrin)

A few Tuscan 2s around in this colour too.

There aren't too many Mk2 genuine 'S' models around and those that have them tend to keep them. I know there is a new Reflex charcoal at Str8Six but its £56k or so. I just missed out on a spectraflair silver with black interior and bought a sprectrafalir silver with blue/tan interior instead. Not my first choice but it does mean that I got one bought and got on with enjoying driving it and not scouring classifieds!

2 years, 1 clutch and 2 front tyres and it hasn't missed a beat. 5,000 miles on it (400 this weekend just gone) and it still makes me smile and I take photos of it almost every time I drive it.

If you are being very specific about the exact Mk2 'S' that you want be prepared to wait a long time - or just buy the best one available at the time and enjoy!

Actually, some far better photos I should have used in the classifieds, but again, does it no justice:

I hear what you're all saying - they're great in any colour. I was trying to avoid blue, as I had a chimaera in that colour, and Turner, that red looks good, but the red ones I've seen are solid red, very red and look way too 'loud' for a car that is already very loud! I could live with reflex charcoal, as long as the interior isn't green.

Maybe I should focus on condition and see some cars in the flesh.

I hear what you're saying about some of the red ones, mine used to be red glow pearl but now it's alpha 8c red. Much nicer in the flesh and I'm sure it's 10 mph faster smile

Reflex Charcoal showing the green tint, the day I picked her up almost three years ago now, where has the time gone?

Either get the bodywork wrapped or re sprayed??
There are a good few workshops who do great jobs for a great price.
I would get myself a deal on a good car - engine, service, clean enterior etc as priority and try to budget a paint job.
You may wait a long time for the right colour to pop up.
Good luck

Well, Kerridges had a Mk II s in dark grey and only 9,000mls that lasted about a nanosecond in the classifieds. Looked like it was a good price. If that's what you got then well done.
