Can anyone recommend a good solicitor in Southampton or surrounding area?

Not for a driving offence but my wife got assaulted recently and I want to take the *&^% that done it to court and take him for all he’s got.

I don't know any solicitors around there....

Is the case going to Magistrates court or are you taking civil action against the assailant....

Don't pin your hopes too high on the 'taking the shit for all he/she's got'..it's not the USA and I would hate you to be dissapointed.

If you need any advice, let me know..

Thanks for putting me onto shnozz. I dont really expect the fuzz to do much. They couldnt get a bobby out to me until 18 hrs after the incident.

I so love this country.

Time to sell up and move on I think. Maybe somewhere that people act civilised, like say iraq

You're very welcome....(oh I'm sorry, I thought you'd thanked me for my offer of assistance....)

Although not ideal, what was the urgency to see you within 18 hours? Was there any evidential need to see your wife asap? Is the offender known to you? Has you wife sought medical attention in relation to her injuries?

I'm sure the "fuzz", "filth", "Pigs" or whatever title you want to give them, will do some much. They are duty bound to do 'much' and if they don't you have right to complain. Let's give them a chance before bleating about them. Failing that, go and sort this 'brute' out yourself and get your own measure of justice. Or will you retort "Then the 'fuzz' will do me"....

I have always found streetcops posts inconsistent... i dont believe any real bib would advise ppl to take the law into their own hands.

And as for the 18 hours... evidence? maybe?

They came out last night to see us after putting us off three more times.

With regards to sorting him out myself. Thought about that but with my luck and the way its running there would probablt be a police office passing by just as it all kicked off.

Anyway it turns out that hes admitted it so now its just sit back and let the poor leagl system we have (ie protect the guilty) do its bit.

thanks for the advice guys.

Streetcop. Sorry for any offence caused but my previous dealings with the police isnt to good either. But the two that came to see us were helpful and hopefully they are a good representation of the majority
