So looks like 3rd gear went pop last night! about time I had a LSD fitted then!

the AA were pretty slow though called them at 6:15pm got home from haying island to Fareham at 10PM.

guess its to be exspected though if you put 380 pounds feet through a GTI box

Oh well its only money, you don't need it when your dead!

it does have beefy drive shafts and an AP paddle clutch

I may take you up on that. do you know What final drive it is ? and isn't the O2a a 6 speed? I 'had' a 02j 5 speed.

02a is the standard VR6 or GTI box, mine is GTI type code 'CDA' - it has a 3.6fd. You can run a V5 02a box which has a shorter 3.9fd also but I can't remember the code for that.

furry muff. looks like I have a VR6 one lined up I really want the long FD 3.39 I think. could you PM me how much you want for it anyway.
