Chrome bumper spacer set
Discussion
Have bought a set of chrome bumpers. I know they are not intended to go on a 3000S as they only came on early 3000M'but s.. it. The bumpers do require a spacer set, per bumper a round/even one for the frontal/rear one, and a tapered one for the lateral ones. I've had spacers machined in nylon. The round/even ones are 35 mm in o/dia and 13 mm thick, which is correct (found some original spacers on the inside of bonnet of the front bumpers....)The 35 mm provides a bit more 'seat'which is fine and works. The lateral spacers are also 35 mm o/dia, iso the square type originals and are in the same angle, if I now put these in (whichever way round)they make the bumper go up or down and does not fit square to the body. The bumpers are on the car, but any suggestions to improve the situation are welcome.
Hmmmmm, the bumper seems to low on one side, the hole is in wrong place (to low)?
can not test this on my car as it is in for repainting,
are spacers made with a angle? so if you rotate spacer the higher place is top or bottom?
washer on inside,
the body itself is also not perfect flat, where spacer is lokated?
when I have new bolts, I try to put them on and see what can be done
