JLR taking on more production staff
Discussion
The Evoque seems to be doing the trick for JLR, as it seems they are taking on another 1000 staff at Halewood.
More good news for British workers

It's a signal to the rest of the world that British craftsmanship is appreciated and in demand too. We've come a long way from being the country that makes unreliable rubbish that falls apart.More good news for British workers

They're expanding at a very decent pace. You can thank the emerging markets of China and Russia for most of that. Good on them.
Eventually, they will probably open up factories in other regions which may well take away from the current workforce in the UK. Hopefully, they'll see decent growth in Blighty to make up for it, too.

Saw several of transporter-loads of Evoques on a recent trip up and down the M5 & M6 - they certainly seem to be in demand
I travel up past Southampton on the M27/M3 daily, I lose track of the numbr of transporters I see loaded with Land Rover & Mini products daily heading to the docks. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
