Does anyone know enough about the internal plumbing on the Tiv to take a shot at explaining / diagnosing the following...

Noticed this evening as I was leaving work and my car was pointing at a wall that as I turned on my sidelights I had the offside sidelight come on but nothing from nearside - I just thought that the nearside sidelight was out.

I turned on the headlights and the offside headlight comes on along with the nearside casting a very dim reflection from the wall ... "That's wierd" so I flashed the headlights a couple of times and both lights came on. I assumed a sticky relay so just drove home.

On getting home I turned off the car and then thought "I'll just check those lights again." so turned on sidelights - looking at the lights directly I had the offside sidelight on but no nearside sidelight. Turned headlights on and got offside headlight and nearside sidelight. Put main beam on and got offside main beam and nearside sidelight.

Tried flashing lights again (thinking maybe sticky relay) but no difference.

I'll try to park up facing the wall again tomorrow and see if I can get a better handle of what's going on but anyone got any ideas? Can I assume that the relays for the lights are under the dash and therefore a pig to get to? biggrin
