Hello,

I need to buy some parts.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-1-4VVTI-1...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tie-Track-Rod-End-Front-...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-03-08-FRO...

These seem a bit cheaper than euro car parts, especially the lower arms. However I don't want to buy crap and I'm guessing there's no comeback if they turn out to be unsafe/cause an accident.

Does anyone buy parts off ebay? Any tips?

Do you normally take chances with your safety. Pay the extra couple of quid a be assured that the parts are new.

I bought some tie rod ends on E-bay....
Both of them the hole for the split pin was too far up so you couldn't get the pin in, and one of them the thread came off with the nut when I undid it again (It was NOT crossed, trust me)
Absolute, dangerous tat.
By that point I had alrady left feedback on the basis they matched the one I had on the sideboard..rolleyes
Use a local well established factors or OEM.

Lots of the big well known spare parts/aftermarket factors sell many thousands of parts a week via Ebay. A lot of these sales are via smaller companies owned by the larger factors. Allows them to list same parts many times and have more chance of getting an order. If you stick to well known Aftermarket brand names, you should be ok.

Try these guys for genuine and aftermarket bits http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Quickco-Parts?_trksid=p43... - you can request bits with most sellers and they will probably source them for you if not listed already

Are http://www.europarts-motorfactors.com/ ok?

Come out top of google and a bit cheaper than euro car parts.

I hate ebay, so a normal website would be preferable.

Thanks
