Brought the Chim home today, lots of work to do. Two hours of ownership and I managed to run out of gas then the brake pedal twisted was having a little trouble getting going..
Its running rough on the pick-up and idle, back window ripped, needs a complete set of wheels and a lot of trimming work to do oh and the electrics are hanging.
Plan was to drive it for a couple of weeks to see what goes wrong then put it in for the interior work but I may need to get the stepper and other idle issues looked at as it is driving me nuts already.
Paid 6 grand in the end so have a bit of cash to fix it up and get ready for winter motoring

Looks like you have another 6 grand to spend. You are very brave. Even a car that looks immaculate can end up costing a fortune, and still never be right. Hope it all goes ok and you end up with a bargain, whats the history behind the car? why so rough?.

Ps get yourself a copy of the bible

Thanks guys, it has just been treated badly, not driven, left in the sun and when things broke they just weren't fixed. Because there is so much money here some people get bored with cars that aren't 100% reliable and then they tend to be left or even abandoned.
Its only 4 years old and mileage is only 25k km so I'm hoping it will be recoverable, some service history but does not look as if it has been regularily driven for at least a year or more.

It's actually a 2000 car, they sold here for the same cost as a base 911 porker but needed more care than the average young Arab is prepared to give, importers pulled out in 2002 I think. There are a couple of Griffs and another Chim here but no dealer support though the engines are well catered for.

What's the history on the car out of interest?
