Tvr timing chain

I have just bought the chimaera and was thinking should I change the timming chain? It has only done 45k but been stood for about 3 years. Can any one help with info weather it would need doing? Thanks

Its chain, not a belt, so they are not done at specific intervals as such. They do wear, along with the sprockets, but as TVR's tendency to eat their cam anyway, its something that would get changed with a new cam set including cam, followers, sprockets, and chain.

ok thanks for that. i also have a tapping noise! take it that would be the tappits, but is it a big job to sort out?

Could be the common exhaust gasket problem!
