MSC (Maidstone Sports Cars)

Car will need it's 12k service & some general fettling in the next couple of months.

Does anyone have any experience with MSC ?

I'm torn between them & Dan Taylor.

I'm based in Ashford (Kent), and have used APM in the past, but am looking for someone closer to home.

I don't use Dan on a regular basis, but he has helped me at very short notice on a trip to France. Great service and a top bloke!

Never heard of MSC. Dan has a good reputation from what I know.
APM is one of the very best Cerb guys and so I would argue he is worth the drive. But as you say its a long slog from Kent.

I'm not having a go at MSC as I don't know them, but generally you see lots of websites/adverts that say something like "We have TVR factory trained technicians" etc. Ask them when and with whom they did their training? Where do they keep the diploma or certificate of attendance?

My son worked for MSC for many years. They specialise in MG's. Dan Taylor is a TVR specialist.
No brainer.

I wouldn't take my TVR anywhere else, Dan Taylor is a top bloke and the service is excellent. Hope he reads PH I might get a discount for this.

He,s a nice fell. I used him for the last two years of ownership of the Cerb.A very genuine fella. If i was back in TVR ownership again then i would give him any work that needed doing.

Please note that Mr Mersh's son left Maidstone Sports Cars back in 2003 and a lot has changed at MSC in the last 9 years. We originally started as a MG specialist back in 1987 but if you visit our website ( http://www.maidstonesportscars.co.uk), you will see how the company has developed and grown since then.
Everyone is more than welcome to visit and see our facilities first hand where they can make there own mind up rather than listening to information that is 9 years out of date!.

Hmmm best of luck. Never heard of you in the last 9 years. Have you serviced many TVRs?

I've just had some paintwork repairs done there. Have to say, some of the renovation work and Lotus stuff they are doing looks quite impressive. One of their mechanics is 'ex-TVR', but I'm not sure from where exactly.

I read their website and I am sure they have plural Tvr experienced, trained etc mechanics
